A new dance musical which celebrates the life and times of Marilyn Monroe is set to hit London’s West End later this year, it has been announced.

Marilyn is choreographed and directed by Peter Schaufuss, who was the creative force behind a number of other notable musicals, including 2007’s Satisfaction – which featured hits by the Rolling Stones.

According to the show’s organisers: “Marilyn tells the heartbreaking story of a girl who becomes a world-famous film actress without ever achieving real happiness.”

Songs set to feature in the show include Kiss Me, I Wanna Be Loved By You and My Heart Belongs To Daddy.

The show is set to run at the Apollo Theatre – located on Shaftesbury Avenue and easily reachable for those staying in central London hotels – between June 3rd and 13th. Tickets are available now and are priced from £21.

Given the limited number of dates the show is running for, it may be wise to get tickets booked as soon as possible.
